The Isle of Skye is in the west coast of Scotland and is stunning – attracting visitors from the World over, due to its soft white beaches, heritage, opportunities to explore, fish and much much more.
We were very lucky to receive a special postcard to celebrate the Isle of Skye in Scotland being twinned with the magical virtual world of Skylands – to help celebrate the month of SWAPtober and the launch of Skylanders SWAP Force!!! Skylanders SWAP Force I think it set to be one of the top presents this Christmas (see my previous post here – that is if your family can wait that long. The characters now are swappable (hence the name) – making new characters out of the combinations of tops and bottoms. The game also features new abilities – such as flying, climbing, and teleporting – which can be used in special areas of Skylands. Additionally, fans can play with their entire collection of more than 100, forward-compatible toys from both Skylanders Spyro’s AdventureTM and Skylanders Giants™.
One of the new Skylanders SWAP Force Characters Wash Buckler toured some of the island’s most famous landmarks and visited the children at Portree Primary School.
Our postcard told us to visit the Isle of Skye website and type SWAP. Then the magic happened.
The Skylanders took over the page before taking us off to watch the new trailer.
Then we could meet the Skylanders on the official site, SWAP the characters(tops and bottoms) and see which new characters were formed – then see them in action. The site also has games and other things – which really have made me children even more excited about the launch.
Skylanders SWAP Force is being developed by Vicarious Visions and is set to release on Friday October 18. Developed for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the Wii U and Wii systems from Nintendo and Nintendo 3DS.

This is not a sponsored post but we were sent a free postcard to help us get excited about the upcoming release of SkylandersSWAPForce.
