We are massive Nintendo fans in this house and so I am pleased to share with you some exciting news from Nintendo themselves.

3 New Hardware Bundles for New Nintendo 3DS

From 26th June 2015 3 new hardware bundles themed around the blockbuster role-playing games Xenoblade, Chronicles 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be available in Europe for the New Nintendo 3DS. Each bundle includes the New Nintendo 3DS system and game, plus options to customise their console with game-specific cover plates and a related HOME Menu theme.

New Nintendo 3DS Family ReviewThe Xenblade Chronicles 3D Pack includes a black New Nintendo 3DS system with a physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, black cover plates as well as Xenoblade Chronicles 3D cover plates, plus a download code for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: Mechonis HOME Menu theme. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is built exclusively to take full advantage of the New Nintendo 3DS system’s features including improved controls, more comfortable 3D-viewing, enhanced processing power and built-in amiibo compatibility. The Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Pack contains a black New Nintendo 3DS system with a digital copy of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, black cover plates, as well as black Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate cover plates featuring iconography from the game, plus a download code for the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Hunter’s Seal HOME Menu theme. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is playable on all of the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but features enhanced camera controls using the C Stick when experienced on New Nintendo 3DS.Whilst the Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Pack contains a white New Nintendo 3DS system with a digital copy of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, white cover plates as well as Pikachu cover plates, plus a download code for the Pokémon: Pikachu Party HOME Menu theme.

The world of Nintendo is being brought to life at Universal theme parks (KYOTO, Japan and ORLANDO, Florida), based on Nintendo’s wildly popular games, characters and worlds. More details will be announced in the future, as the Nintendo and Universal creative teams work to create specific concepts.


Splatoon is the new wild game combining creative and family-friendly fun with ink-spraying, turf claiming action. Players take on the role of the Inklings (customisable characters who can transform into squids). They beat their opponents and cover the level with ink. Before the launch on Friday 29th May 2015 a free Splatoon Global Testfire demo is available to download from the Nintendo shop for WiiU, enabling any Wii U user with a broadband internet connection to play up to 3 hrs of 4 on 4 online Turf War battles on Saturday 9th May for specified time periods.
