Hot Wheels Celebrates Father’s Day

Research[1] findings show that there has been a significant shift in the role of men in parenting; with fathers playing an increasingly more significant role in their children’s upbringing than ever. That the definition of a family changes amongst millennial parents.[2] Fathers wish to make a positive impact on their children’s lives and value quality time with their children. In fact the study suggests that dads believe in an equal split of household responsibilities (although mum’s view is that this may not actually be happening!). Dads are in general more likely than mothers to utilize toys from their own childhood to build a connection with their child. With research findings[1] showing the significant shift in the role of men in parenting, Hot Wheels celebrates the important part dads play in their children’s lives this Father’s Day. The new campaign will remind dads of their childhood, celebrate their connection with their children and champion the value of playing together.

Hot Wheels Celebrating Fathers

Hot Wheels celebrates this research with their campaign dedicated to ‘Dads Who Never Need to Grow Up.’ This includes a video which explores children’s perceptions of fathers and reveals that modern-fathers do want to have fun but have the added cool factor too. Michael Shore Ph.D, Vice President and Head of Global Consumer Insights at Mattel says that “Unique to other brands, Hot Wheels has the ability to, not only remind dads of their own childhood, but also their connection with their children which is very powerful.”
