Our Cornwall Adventures – find out how you can receive discounts on Attractions

It is so easy to record our holiday moments now by just reaching into our pockets for smart phones. Just because pictures are taken on a phone does not mean they have to be of poor quality. With this in mind Seaview Holiday Village in Cornwall teamed up with Instagram photography experts to help their guests take amazing holiday pictures. They then challenged holidaymakers to take 500 amazing photos on their smartphones over the summer using the hashtag #SeaviewPix: The favourite winning £500 towards their next Seaview Holiday Village holiday*

Seaview Holiday Village

Seaview Holiday Village is Bridge Leisure’s newest destination, set between the pretty seaside towns and historic fishing villages of Polperro and Looe and with sea views of Talland Bay – which is within walking distance. A friendly site complete with indoor pool, games room, restaurant, play area, launderette, children’s daytime and evening entertainment. We were invited to stay in a 3 bedroom luxury caravan this also had an en suite toilet in the main bedroom. The caravan was very modern and clean, with heating throughout. Seaview Holiday Village offers a range of caravans and chalet options to suit different budgets. We were most impressed with the size of the accommodation and fridge freezer.

Seaview Holiday Village Cornwall

Not to mention the stunning views and the ease of access. Seaview Holiday Village is not a huge resort but it was perfect for our needs. The staff were of an exceptional quality and I could not name one person who made our experience better than anyone else as they were all so good. It was no problem when there was wet bedding, help with ensuring we could visit an attraction – and just general politeness from all staff.
We missed most of the children’s entertainment as we were just so busy but there were things like arts & crafts, nature trail, learning to ride a bike without stabilisers, Bird & Animal Meet & Great, Scavenger hunts, kids’ discos and much more. We did watch the Outdoor movie which was good, and the boys had a go on the SeaDoo AquaRangers.

My only criticism here is that when I asked I was told it was for an hour but it turned out that each go was only 5 minutes. As it was quite one of my children got a longer go than the other two – and it was hard to explain to them why this wasn’t fair. As a family we really enjoyed the visiting artist Mr Eerius, Magician. Again because of the small and friendly nature of the Holiday Village there was not a problem obtaining a seat with a good view, even though we came in just before the act started.

Seymac’s App for Cornwall

Seaview Holiday Village offers a great base for exploring Cornwall and this is made even easier using Seymac’s App for Cornwall (free to download). Cornwall has absolutely masses of places to eat, drink, play & stay and Seaview Holiday Village provides Holidaymakers with information leaflets and discount codes. The app also has information and codes and is easy to search by either what type you are looking for or location. This made it much easier to tailor attractions to our family’s interests and save time (by not having to keep going backwards and forwards): For example we found an attraction near a supermarket when we need to buy more food and didn’t want to waste too much of the day just shopping. What I would say is that I would like information on car parking – where is best to park and how much it costs. The best thing about the app for me was when we needed to change our plans due to the weather it told me where was suitable to visit for a rainy day.

Places we visited during our Cornwall Adventure

We started the week on Bank Holiday Monday with a trip to Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre. Tuesday saw us taking it easy after the long day before (we had got up at 3, 4 and 5am to travel down early). We headed for Talland beach before returning to Seaview Holiday Village for the boys to use the SeaDoo AquaRangers. In the afternoon we used the Cornwall app to locate a Morrisons and combined it with visiting nearby Kart World. Wednesday we had booked to go on with Padstow Sealife Safaris followed by a visit to Holywell Bay Fun Park. Thursday the boys got to explore an adrenaline attraction with Hangloose at Eden Project before our youngest got to look at the dinosaurs and myself the flowers. Finally on Friday we had a nice cooked breakfast at Seaview Holiday Resort in the restaurant before heading to Kidz World as it was raining so heavily (adults got in free with the Cornwall app). We then went home – after an amazing week.

Myself and my family were invited to a Smartphone Photography Press Trip to Seaview Holiday Resort. This included some free and some discounted attractions. All words and opinions are honest and my own. No financial compensation has been given.

  1. Oh I love the Instagram competition idea! I take loads of photos on my phone, it’s just too difficult to carry my camera around with the children and the dogs. Your caravan looks fab, I’m glad you had a great holiday.

  2. We’ve never explored Cornwall, which seems like a crime really and I think we need to rectify. The app you mention sounds really useful and I love a good Uk holiday park. Mich x

  3. What a fun competition, I have always used my phone to take pictures even though we have some fancy expensive Nikon sitting at home un-used. The app is an amazing idea, I do like a good discount code. Looks like you all had a great holiday.
