LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review

The story of Rey, Finn and company is well converted into LEGO but keeping the Star Wars magic in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With LEGO lightsabers; the ability to build platforms; blast through Stormtroopers; jet through an asteroid field; a child-friendly Gears of War like shooting-section; plus fun and fast flying sections on-rails on Jakku and open-air dogfights with TIE Fighters, X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon. With each level spreading out puzzle solutions utilising multiple characters exclusive abilities. Such as BB-8’s ability to jack into any electrical outlet which allows the manipulation of platforms and other objects in the world. Each character also has a special meter which allows the destruction of the battlefield. The game is filled with visual gags and there are cut scenes which reveal how Poe Dameron survived after being split up from Finn, and even how Han and Chewie managed to capture the Rathtar they’re smuggling when you first see them in the film.LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review  My seven year old son loved the film Star Wars The Force Awakens and it was great that he could recognise it in the LEGO game. It keeps to the plot well and utilises film dialogue and voices effectively. As a fan of the LEGO games he got straight into it as it has the same method of play of destroying, collecting and building (using the same controls to do so). For example the opportunity to rescue Admiral Ackbar by collecting the gold bricks. Whilst keeping him entertained with new scenarios, secrets of the levels to discover and puzzles to solve. With the use of repetition to solve certain puzzles this made it easier for my son and less frustrating – for example knowing that to enter a First Order door as Finn he has to line up the head and torsos of a holographic Stormtrooper. But also offering multiple unique ways to solve puzzles to hold his interest.LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens ReviewPlayers can also download the First Order Siege of Takodana Level Pack, which is the latest downloadable content (DLC) within the LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™ Season Pass. This allows fans to experience the thrilling assault on Maz Kanata’s castle in a brand new way. Players can now storm the ancient edifice of Takodana from the perspective of the First Order and play as the villainous Kylo Ren, utilizing this powerful dark side warrior to battle adversaries and search for Rey and BB-8, in an effort to crush the Resistance forever. Playable/unlockable characters and vehicles include: Kylo Ren, FN-1044 (stormtrooper), Jashco Phurus, Rosser Weno, Stormtrooper Officer, Strono Tuggs, Thromba, Laparo, Jakku Freighter (Full-size Vehicle), Jakku Freighter (Microfighter Vehicle).
