The Ultimate Travel Bucket List #AD

Traveling the world is a wonderful thing to do, but not so easy to plan. Making a bucket list of all the places you wish to visit could help you in planning your trip. Not sure where to start? Here is the ultimate travel bucket list for those wishing to see all the best things our planet offers.

This is a sponsored post.

  1. Wildlife in Costa Rica

Costa Rica, located in Central America, is known for its abundance of wildlife. The country has several national parks, with Corcovado National Park being the most famous one. Corcovado National Park is renowned all over the world for its biodiversity. You can expect to see big cats and tapirs, or at least your guide can show you signs of their presence in the park, as they can be quite shy of humans. The park is also the only park in Costa Rica where you can encounter all four Costa Rican monkeys. All this wildlife magic might sound expensive, but Costa Rica is actually very affordable to visit, as you can read here.

  1. Swim between continents in Iceland

In Thingvellir National Park (Iceland), you can find a crack between two tectonic plates called the Silfra fissure. Tectonic plates cover the Earth like a blanket. In some places, they are broken, and the Silfra fissure is one of those places. To be more precise, it is the only place on Earth where you can swim between the North American and European continents.

Besides being a must-see place for geologists, the crack is also the perfect stop for divers. The water is crystal clear and you will have some of the widest views you can find underwater. Bring a wetsuit, though, because the water comes from the nearby Langjökull glacier and is around 3 °C (37 °F) year round. Better still, find out things to know about Iceland.

  1. New Zealand

Depending on your background, you might know New Zealand from Maori culture, the flightless kiwi bird, the amazing mountain ranges, or Lord of the Rings. New Zealand has all of these things and much more. Beautiful beaches, soaring mountain ranges, crystal clear lakes and endless fields of lupine flowers are just a small part of what you can expect of New Zealand’s natural landscape. Besides all that beauty, New Zealand also offers an interesting cultural experience with the Maori. The Maori were the original settlers of New Zealand in the late 13th century. Today, centuries later, they still have strong connections to their roots and love to share their culture with other people. Be sure to catch a Haka ceremony if you can. 1. Discover the sea

You don’t have to limit yourself to visiting countries and landmarks only when it comes to making your ultimate travel bucket list. This planet’s seas and oceans can be just as wonderful to discover as any landmass. There are many ways to discover the sea, going from budget-friendly for backpackers to more luxurious options for people who have a little more to spend. You can do a scuba diving trip to admire beautiful corals, take a Mediterranean cruise around southern Europe, or book a private yacht to go wherever you want. The beauty of traveling by boat is that it gives you the opportunity to discover isolated islands that are only accessible by sea. The tiny island of Pulau Ubin (Singapore) is one of those islands. You can take a ferry to the island, but you can also book a private 2D1N sailcation package to make the trip that much more memorable.

  1. Combine nature, culture and food in Taiwan

Taiwan, located in southeast Asia just above the Philippines, is mostly known for its capital city, Taipei. While the city is definitely worth a visit, the country has so much more to offer. At the southern tip of the island, you can find Kaohsiung, the second city in Taiwan. Here you can find the Cijin Island historic district, the Rueifong Night Market and you can take a day trip to Fo Guang Shan Monastery. If you are in the mood for some nature, take a hike in the Kenting National Park or visit the Taroko Gorge. And let’s not forget the food. If you like good food, definitely take a visit to Tainan, Taiwan’s original capital. Try one of the dozens of restaurants in the city or visit the Garden Night Market to get your hands on some real street food. Either way, you’ll not go hungry.

Did you fall in love with Taiwan and wish to work and live there? Good news, because that is possible by becoming an English teacher in Taiwan. Here is a clear and detailed overview of what you can expect when teaching in Taiwan.

  1. Discover the old traditions of the Incas in Machu Picchu, Peru

Almost 600 years ago, the Incas built the magnificent city of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is located high in the Andes Mountains of South America. The city is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the entire world, and also one of the most breathtaking views you will ever see.

There are several trails to reach Machu Picchu, with the most famous one being the Inca Trail. The Inca Trail is the same trail the Inca used so many years ago. The trek is about 43 kilometers (27 miles) and takes four days to complete. This is also the only trail that ends at Machu Picchu and not in the village of Aguas Calientes. Besides the Inca Trail there is also the Salkantay Trek, the Lares Trek and the Inca Jungle Trail.

Whether you want to travel around the world or just find those perfect spots you want to see, a travel bucket list can help you plan your dream trip. Almost every country in the world has something different and unique to offer, so it’s up to you to decide what you want to see and do. And don’t forget to think outside of the box and visit the sea, too.
