I feel that <a href=\"https:\/\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/2018\/10\/26\/science-resources-for-home-education\/\">STEM subjects<\/a> (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are really important for our children to learn about &#8211; but they can also be some of the most exciting topics to learn, if presented in the right way. Each kit contains a dig brick (with a beautiful relevant design of what will be discovered on the top), 2 excavation tools (1 for digging and a brush), a magnifying glass, Dig Kit Instructions, Guide and Tips, plus two learning guides (one in English and the other translations). Each Dig Kit has 3 things to carefully find and this requires some patience and care to make sure they are not damaged.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/national-geographic-bug-dig-outside.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25808\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/national-geographic-bug-dig-outside.jpg?resize=800%2C600\" alt=\"national geographic bug dig outside\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/national-geographic-bug-dig-outside.jpg?w=800&amp;ssl=1 800w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/national-geographic-bug-dig-outside.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/national-geographic-bug-dig-outside.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The instructions start by explaining that this can get messy and to use some sturdy paper or a newspaper underneath where you are going to work, or that alternatively you can work outside. The dinosaur specimens are a mosasaur tooth, dino poop and a dino bone; whereas the real bug kit unearths a scorpion, fortune beetle and spiny spider (all inside acrylic like gems) &#8211; all of which are clearly labelled and illustrated on the outside of the box, so the children know what they are looking for. Other than that the internal packaging for the bugs was cardboard and the dino fossils plastic. They kept the boys entertained for almost an hour and I love how they were learning and developing without realising (including science, fine motor skills and <a href=\"https:\/\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/2019\/02\/21\/reluctant-readers\/\">reading<\/a> to name a few).
