Add the butter and oil into saucepan &#8211; heat and add the onion. Keep stirring and fry for 5 minutes or until it is soft and just beginning to brown. <div>\n2.\tStir in the garlic and rice, cooking for a further minute. Add the bacon and stir until it is cooked. <div>\n3.\tAdd 2 pints of vegetable stock, season with salt and pepper and heat until it is boiling. <div>\n4.\tTransfer all the above into the slow cooker.
