School\u2019s Out but Learning\u2019s Not! The BBC are opening the doors to the biggest ever education offering: BBC Bitesize Daily launches Monday 20 April across BBC iPlayer, Red Button and online at www.bbc.co.uk\/Bitesize<\/a> to ensure that kids across the UK have access to curriculum supported learning for the summer term, working closely with trusted education providers, teachers and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 200\ntalented teachers and a host of well-known faces teaching the nation\u2019s children\nvia virtual learning. With hundreds of curriculum based learning lessons being\ndelivered over 14 weeks – compiled in just four weeks collaborating with\nteachers and education specialists for children across the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Renowned physicist Professor<\/strong> Brian Cox<\/strong> will bring key science topics\n to life as only he can; including the solar system, force and gravity <\/li>
  • Manchester City football club\u2019s\n star striker Sergio Aguero<\/strong>, famed for his precision and\n skill on the pitch, turns his attention to numbers as he sets about\n getting kids across the country counting in Spanish!<\/li>
  • Former MP, Ed Balls<\/strong>\n continues the number theme as he goes back to his political roots in\n economics to deliver a KS3 maths class.<\/li>
  • Award winning music stars Mabel<\/strong> and Liam Payne<\/strong> and a host of musical stars take part in\n a week long Musical Big Read \u2013 an extension to a weekly Book Club\n that will run throughout the 14 week term and see stars including Anita\n Rani and Oti Mabuse<\/strong> read books aimed at both primary and secondary\n aged kids. <\/li>
  • Danny Dyer<\/strong>, EastEnders\n actor and direct descendant of King Edward III, delivers the facts on\n another historic king, Henry VIII as he brings history to KS1 pupils.<\/li>
  • Sir David Attenborough<\/strong>,\n known the world over for his natural history documentaries, is also set to\n be involved, helping youngsters to learn about the oceans, mapping the\n world and why animals look the way they do.<\/li>
  • Doctor Who\u2019s Jodie Whittaker<\/strong>\n drops into Bitesize Daily lessons<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    In week one students will meet; Mr Burton (Educating Yorkshire), Ms Webb (Primary), Mr Brown (Secondary), Ms Armit (Secondary), Mr Mycock (Secondary) and Mr McPartlin of Britain\u2019s Got Talent fame. They will all front daily lessons available from 9am each week day on BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button. A host of familiar faces are also signed up to keep students motivated and on track with inspirational messages of support and tips on how to stay focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    BBC Bitesize Daily will deliver a tailored day of learning across BBC iPlayer, Red Button, BBC Bitesize website and app, BBC Four and BBC Sounds, with curriculum relevant offers across the UK.  Together, this comprehensive package is aimed at minimising disruption to children\u2019s education and providing rhythm and routine in these challenging times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    BBC Bitesize Daily <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Every day, 6 x 20 min programmes, Bitesize Daily, will air\non BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button targeting six age groups, from 5 to 14, where\nteachers, experts and famous faces cover off what that age group should be\nlearning that day. Each programme will be available on BBC iPlayer as well as\nhaving its own regular slot on BBC Red Button aiding routine and daily\nstructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    From Bitesize Daily, parents and children will be directed\nonline to BBC Bitesize for an age appropriate \u2018daily drop\u2019 of specially curated\nvideos, quizzes, podcasts and worksheets to bring to life core curriculum\nsubjects such as Maths, English and Science. As well as being offered\nsuggestions on how to extend learning around the home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
