We went for Breakfast at Dishoom<\/a> London and it was so amazing that I wanted to tell you all about it.<\/p>\n\n\n

Breakfast is surely the most important meal of the day. But having the same thing day in day out can get a bit repetitive and boring. So if you are looking for a place to try different Breakfast ideas then you have to check out Dishoom who serve exceptional authentic Indian food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went to the Shoreditch branch in London and this is my experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Dishoom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dishoom is described as a small Bombay-inspired restaurant; like the Irani caf\u00e9s which were popular across Bombay in the 1960s. We did not feel it was small with seating inside and out as well as downstairs and it was very busy. Although you would not have thought this due to the speed of the excellent workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dishoom Recommended<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My husband was recommended Dishoom and remembered this when he was looking for somewhere different to have breakfast in London. There are several branches but we opted for the one in Shoreditch. The appeal was actually for the Naan breakfasts and indeed that is what we both opted for.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dishoom Breakfast<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast is served at Dishoom from 8am to 11:45am on weekdays and 9am to 11:45am on weekends. There is no dress code so you could even turn up in your PJs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as the wonderful offering of Dishoom Naan Rolls, there are a variety of cooked breakfasts; porridge; fruit & yoghurt; granola; bun maska and a sweet uttapam stack (not unlike pancakes). Of course there\u2019s also a range of hot and cold drinks. We enjoyed the House Chi so much that we bought a tin to make up at home! It also had free refills!<\/p>\n\n\n

The bacon is supplied by Ramsay of Carluke; the pork sausages from Maynard\u2019s Farm; the vegan sausages fro, Symplicity and all the egg dishes are made with St Ewe Free Range Eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extra Special Touches at Dishoom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The service was second to none. It seemed really busy but we were served immediately. We were asked immediately if we would like water whilst we made our decision from the menu \u2013 this again was brought over really promptly. We could not fault a thing. There is an optional service charge added to the bill (which is split with all the staff) but still we tipped very generously because we were that impressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Of course the food was amazing. Like better than I could have imagined! But as well as great food they also donate a meal to a child for every meal purchased at Dishoom. They work with two charities \u2013 Magic Breakfast in the UK and Akshaya Patra in India- who provide nourishing free meals to schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobriety<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since giving up drinking alcohol<\/a> myself I really appreciate sobriety<\/a>. So of course I was impressed with their teetotal menu. It promotes itself as being for those wanting to drink less, less often, or not at all. It then goes on to state some of the benefits of sobriety.<\/p>\n\n\n

Conclusion of Breakfast at Dishoom London<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We were very impressed with our breakfast at Dishoom London. Other things to note were the quirky toilets and the fact that if sat in the right spot you can see the food being prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n

Definitely a place you need to try at least once. There are branches in Kensington, Shoreditch, King\u2019s Cross, Caranby, Covent Garden and coming to Canary Wharf in London. Then there\u2019s branches in Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
