It was a Friday to Monday break in early October. As it happens it was actually a reasonably warm weekend. Only costing <strong>\u00a361.20<\/strong> it made sense to stay there than book a hotel or something. Also meaning that we could stay over for a couple of nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The price was for the three of us but was based on four people sharing. That is \u00a314.50pp and \u00a33.20 booking fee. Additionally you could add on a linen and bed making charge for \u00a340 (\u00a310 pp). Actually it turned out to be a value chalet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This pet free accommodation consisted of two bedrooms (one double and a twin), a bathroom and a kitchen\/living room. These were about downloading the app, activities, places to explore, what and where to eat. On a positive note, at least there was lots of warnings about booking activities you may want to do, and made sure you were fully informed about what you might want to get up to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Once There<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our check in was from 4pm Friday and check out by 10am on the Monday. However, we only stayed Friday and Saturday. Leaving early Sunday morning for Bodmin Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/blog\/parkrun-tourism-reviews-by-a-jeffer\/\">parkrun<\/a>. It was easy enough to just drop our keys off at reception in a box outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In guest services there were lots of flyers about local attractions, including Land\u2019s End. However, it didn\u2019t have any information about getting there or parking costs. Including getting the cost of your holiday knocked off the price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also there were options to extend your stay and upgrade the accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Beach at St Ives Bay Holiday Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Described as the access to the beach as being via a steep sandy path (and steps) I feared it would be really tough. It was nice that there was a warning, and I am not saying that it isn\u2019t steep at all, but it really was rather easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/steepness-to-beach-768x1024.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"steepness to beach at St Ives Bay\n\" class=\"wp-image-36525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/steepness-to-beach.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/steepness-to-beach.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/steepness-to-beach.jpg?w=1000&amp;ssl=1 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a beautiful sandy beach with the most spectacular waves. People were surfing and body boarding and I am sure I saw you could hire the boards. Situated on the furthest point of the campsite to the beach it was still less than a km walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>October and there were dogs walking along the beach too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Once Home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the holiday there was a welcome home e-mail with a 15% off code if you booked to return within 14 days of leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any information from the app was no longer accessible once our stay had ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In Conclusion of St Ives Bay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the price we paid it was perfect.
