Here in the UK we have Mothers\u2019 Day coming up (Sunday 10th March 2013). I know all too well the importance of Mothers, as my own died when I was only twenty years old (and my brother only 14). So I really do urge people to really make the most of their Mothers.<\/p>\n

As you may be aware, I am a Mother of four boys \u2013 and well that involves a bit of running around. For Mothers\u2019 Day I appreciate the simple things \u2013 like a home-made card, a lie-in, breakfast in bed, not having to do the dishes.<\/p>\n

We took part in the \u201cBirds Eye Teatime Handover\u201d the idea being that my family plan, buy and cook (and clean up) for me and the family, so that I can have a night off. I do get fed up of always been the one to think up what we are going to eat, and it becomes a bit samey.<\/p>\n

There were lots of ideas to choose from on the Birds Eye Facebook Page<\/a> and their website.<\/a> There was a really good range, catering for all manner of tastes.<\/p>\n

My husband opted for Birds Eye Crispy Chicken Dippers<\/em> as they also appealed to our children.<\/p>\n

Keeping the food separate for our youngest<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He also decided to buy something that would mean that the children could help him prepare, after all I\u2019m their Mother not his.<\/p>\n

This was useful as we are slowly trying to get our teen a bit more independent too.<\/p>\n

To give them a bit of a twist he melted cheese over them.<\/p>\n

They were quick and easy to cook.<\/p>\n

He placed them inside a baguette and coupled them with Birds Eye Hash Brown Waffles and salad (with salad cream). It was really tasty and filling; made a nice change; and went down well with the children.<\/p>\n

He also bought a pack of Original Chicken Chargrills<\/em> and accompanied this with jacket potatoes. They were also very nice, easy to cook and went down well with the children.<\/p>\n
