Eastenders: Who Is The Father Of Lily Slater’s Baby? – Examining Full Male Cast List

BBC Eastenders have just revealed the pregnancy of 12 year old Lily Slater; leaving fans wondering who the father is. When her mother Stacey Slater asked her she wasn’t willing to reveal it – saying that it didn’t matter.

Many fan theories have jumped onto a few names but we all know that Eastenders really like to keep us guessing and throw in something completely unexpected. With that in mind I decided to discover the full male cast list so all the male characters could be considered.

Fan Favourite’s for the Father of Lily Slater’s Baby

· Ricky Mitchell – Age 12

The name that is coming up a lot is Ricky Mitchell. Apparently there are lots of signs leading up to this moment if you know where to look for them. With his dad taking his eye off the ball with him and him leaving things like dinner.

Also they are practically second cousins. Lily’s Mother Stacey was married to Bradley Branning. Bradley was Max’s son. Max is Jack’s brother. Jack is Ricky’s father! Not to mention that Stacey also slept with Max – a lot!

UPDATE: Wednesday 4th January 2023 – Lily says that he isn’t her boyfriend, it was just the one time and he must not know. Stacey confirms that it was Ricky, to which Lily further confirms. It wasn’t even at the end of the episode! But do we think that she is telling the truth?

· Denzel – Age 14

Lily warned Amy not to have sex with Denzel and now viewers are wondering if there’s a connection. She even went as far as to tell her mother Stacey to prevent it happening.

Also could there be a link between the fact that Denzel told Amy that he just wanted to be friends with her after she was self-harming (because he had since got together with Lily)?

· Tommy Moon – Age 12

Eastenders like to keep things in the family so Lily’s cousin Tommy is a consideration. They have had pregnancies in the family before with Kat and Uncle Harry; Lola and Ben; and Sharon and Dennis Rickman.

· Freddie Slater – 19

Also keeping it in the family is Freddie Slater. Son of Little Mo who was raped by Graham Foster. In the episode following the revelation it focused on him a while. Fans are disagreeing about whether it was because he felt bad about the boiler or it is because it is linked to his sleep walking!

There’s also speculation that actually he is Gay and will end up in a relationship with Bobby Beale.

Of course there’s the possibility that Lily was groomed – like Whitney. Therefore, we have to consider some much older characters.

The Younger Adults

Bobby Beale – 19. Already been in prison for the murder of his sister. Not had much luck in love and there was talk of developing his character to be bad at one point.
Keanu – 23. Recently returned character. We know he has already slept with Phil Mitchell’s wife, daughter and sister. Lily Slater is also Phil’s new girlfriend’s niece – is Keanu after revenge?
Finlay – he freely admits he likes to sleep around.

Older Males in Eastenders who Could be The Father to Lily Slater’s Baby

Those with Possible Access to Lily at Home

Martin – who has brought Lily up with Stacey? Social Services and the DC did say it is usually close to home. Is the reason Lily is so worried about him finding out really because he will go mad? As pointed out he wasn’t much older himself when he became a father too.
Ryan – could she have been meeting up with her real dad Ryan, who was recently mentioned again in the show? This would also tie-in nicely with the fact that his sister Whitney also thinks she is pregnant after taking a test in the Slater house.
Alfie – a very unexpected given he has seen the damage to Kat; but he has had baby Cherry with Hayley.
Harvey – is he really into Jean? He was happy to be conned out of a lot of money by Dotty, so is he just desperate? Is this the real reason she was so upset that her Mother told her Nan Jean? Plus he is suddenly declaring his love to Jean.

Kheerat – could this have anything to do with him not wanting to see Stacey now, and Lily protecting her mother?
Brett – I saw this as an upcoming cast member somewhere. To be honest I would be disappointed now if it was some off-screen lad we had never heard of! This is what they did back in the day with Sarah Platt’s pregnancy to Bethany on Coronation Street. His first appearance is due the 9^th January 2023. Updated to say it is another adult and there’s a link to Zack!

Eastenders Characters Who Are Unlikely to be the Father to Lily Slater’s Baby

Jay -28 – very unlikely as he already has a big part with Lola dying. However, he has already had to go on the sex offenders list!
Ben – 26 – very unlikely as he is Gay, however he is the father to Lexi and does have a tendency to go off the rails.
Callum – 31 – he is a gay police officer – let’s hope not.
Felix – a Drag Queen who is also gay.

Winston, Shrimpy, Emin, Luke, Clive and Ze – they don’t really have big enough parts.
