I received a free upgrade to a Garden View Room, all opinions are honest and my own.
Looking for a great way to catch up with friends – then look no further than this amazing value Sunday Spa Break. The DoubleTree by Hilton in Cheltenham offers include dinner, bed and breakfast, a 55 minute treatment, robe, towel, slippers and full use of the leisure facilities whilst surrounded by the Cotswolds from just £99 per person (£198 for two guests or £228 for a room with a garden view).
Why We Chose the DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Sunday Spa Break
My best friend has lots of friends scattered all over the UK and loves nothing better than discovering new places for a spa break where she can get us all together. She likes for us all to get dressed up for dinner and have a treatment; as well as somewhere with a pool and a lovely bar for us to chill in. Luckily for me Gloucestershire is a central location, with easy access for all with close links to the M5 and M50. She likes us to have a luxury experience whilst getting it at a good value for money price.
Our Experience of DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Sunday Spa Break
Of course to get the offer it meant we had to stay on a Sunday night and take the treatment on the Monday. I found the DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham easy to find and I was delighted to find there was plenty of parking.
In the bar I found some of the girls already and we were all given free cookies! We were even able to go into our rooms slightly early than we were meant to. The rooms were clean, bright and with plenty of space. We had a complimentary upgrade to a garden view which was beautiful in the day and lit up at night.
The Spa Facitilies at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Sunday Spa Break
We then got changed into our costumes and put on the slippers and robes provided to walk down to the Spa Facilities. We did have a few things missing from our room but replacements were soon organised for us. We used the Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and heated indoor swimming pool. There’s also a state-of-the-art gym but this was a break for relaxing. Children were only allowed in until 6pm on Sundays.
Treatments at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham
The treatments at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham use Elemis skincare products on a range of luxury treatments in relaxing private treatment rooms. I opted for an Aromatherapy Full body massage from Becky, who being local happened to go to college with my friend! I was actually booked in for a Decleor Recharge Vitamin Glow as I do not tend to go for facials – but there was no problem changing my mind because I felt my body needed it!
Dinner and Breakfast at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham
Included in the price was a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Dinner we were waited on and breakfast was self-service. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix up with dinner as the restaurant was temporarily closed at the time of our visit and so we ended up eating in the bar. Next, despite checking before ordering there was a limit on how much we could have from the menu – but this was more than sorted out and we cannot fault the customer service at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham. Again being local it was nice to know that the member of staff looking after us actually went to the same grammar school with my oldest son. He was able to advise on local gin too!
Conclusion of DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Sunday Spa Break
I think that the DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham Sunday Spa Break offers excellent value for money. We were able to use the facilities for both days of our stay, coupled with a room for the night, both breakfast and dinner and a treatment – whilst being provided with all we needed (robes, slippers, towels, shampoos etc). In a great location with easy access into Cheltenham itself and stunning views. Excellent customer service and beauticians. I would definitely recommend it and am considering organising a return visit.
