How are you doing?
My car broke down this week and I’ve had to do a lot more walking, in a lot quicker time. Ouch my legs have been killing me. I put some “deep heat” type stuff on – and it worked wonders! Food I’ve not done so well at though as it’s made me really tired.
I’ve been trying much harder for us to all read more – from actual books. You may have already seen the 365 bedtime book – and we have him a new 365 Disney book for his birthday (in April). Also my 5 year old has two reading books a week from school, our eldest I got a book called “Gone” for Christmas and he read it really quickly. The big thing comes from my 9 year old who has just “found” his suitable books and is rapidly getting through a whole series of them – I think it’s The Spooks set.
So when I asked small local businesses if they would like me to review their products or run a competition for them I was delighted when Peggylicious said yes. I think a good story and fabulous illustrations are a key part of children’s enthusiasm for reading.
“Dogs are always there when you need them. They’ll give you a shoulder to cry on if you feel sad and play when you feel happy. If you’re lonely, they’ll be your best friend and give you a reason to go outdoors and meet other people.”
The books are based on the author’s own cocker spaniel Peggy and her best friend Archie, a Tibetan Terrier, who create The Do Good Dog Clan and help children in trouble. The Peggylicious brand incorporates the books, children’s accessories and gifts.
