Why Father’s Day is a Big Deal in our House
You are never too old to Play
My husband is young at heart and loves to play, and as mentioned with his boys. He is lucky in that he also has his birthday (and wedding anniversary) around Father’s day so is extra spoilt. This year he is having a Playstation Vita but other ideas for Father’s day for those who do not want to spend so much money are:
Schleich DC Comic Figures
Men never grow too old from playing Superheroes and Villains – do they? What better way for a dad to spend time on Father’s day than playing with his child. These are suitable from aged 3 and have no upper age limit. Simple to take out of the packaging and no batteries required, so play can begin immediately. They come in sets of two so decide whether you think the dad in your life will prefer Batman vs The Joker or Superman vs Darkseid. They have a great base which means you do not have to hold them to stand up – perfect for putting on display or dad taking to work and putting on his office desk. What better way to help him get through the working day thinking fondly of those hours playing together. Of course he could leave them at home and let his son/s and/or daughter/s enjoy them. The figures are around 10cms tall each and are in fixed iconic poses. There are no moveable parts or pieces that come off but it is recommended that they are not given to a child under 3 years old.
Minions Ravensburger 3D Puzzle: Big Ben Minion Mayhem
I know a lot of men loved Despicable Me and there was a lot of Minion merchandise bought for them at Christmas. So with the release of the new Minions movie then this 3D Minions puzzle is sure to be a hit this Father’s day. Recommended for those age 10-99 this puzzle would be perfect for the Father with older children or for some time on his own. The numbered puzzle uses easyclick technology so it is sturdy without requiring any glue. The 216 pieces stand 41cms (16 inches) tall. With a gorgeous Union Jack base, plastic puzzle pieces with arrows to help show you which way up they go, hinges, supports and a spire. I think this would be a great stand-alone present or as a clue to a special visit to London. Allow plenty of time to build it (about 90 minutes I think), as just sorting out the numbered pieces takes a long time.
I was sent Schleich DC Comic Figures and Minions Ravensburger 3D Puzzle: Big Ben Minion Mayhem for purposes of review, all words and opinions are my own.
