Sun Holidays Europe (including the latest £9.50 Sun Holidays Codes)

Sun £9.50 Holidays are back

I am sure that everyone is excited that the Sun £9.50 Holidays are back with tokens starting on 9th January 2016! Now is the time to really get planning your holiday for this year. January is a great time to get bargains on transport – as well as getting a first holiday that you can extend on either side later in the year. Prices tend to increase after Blue Monday – which is Monday 18th January 2016. The thing to think about is where, when and how you are getting to your destination – this is particularly important when taking a Sun Holiday in Europe.

Things to think about before booking your Sun Holidays in Europe

I tend to see what parks are available in a certain area – for example in Holland there’s only usually 2 on offer. So I have to decide whether it is the location or the date that is important to me. Personally I only take my children on holiday during the school holidays so I tend to favour date over location. I need to figure out how easy it is to get to the parks before getting carried away when The Sun Holiday final code is in and the website is live. I do planning and make a list of possibilities. Other things to think about are:

Flying to your Sun Holidays Europe Destination

Think about how far away from the airport the Sun holiday park is. Once at the Sun Holiday park is there good public transport to get where you want to get to – for food and entertainment? Once you add in flying, then is a Sun Holiday still as cost-effective as booking with a tour operator? Can you get flights to fit around the start and end dates of your Sun Holiday okay? Are there different times of the year where the flights will be more popular and/or expensive? Did you want to book flights and then try to get a Sun Holiday to fit, or book the Sun Holidays and then the flights?

Driving to your Sun Holidays Europe Destination

I personally think that flying would be a lot of work with my children (and especially the youngest’s additional needs) so we always drive. Consideration then needs to be about the destination – is it possible to drive there easily (good motorway access, are there lots of different rules of the road). How are we making the crossing – ferry, train? Overnight, daytime? Are there any toll roads? You may want to consider how far away any attractions are from your chosen parks – or if the park offers everything you need. This year we went further into France and so stayed over in Calais on the way there, and near Windsor on the way home – to break up the journey.

Other things to think about before booking your Sun Holiday in Europe

Make sure all your passports and valid. And you all have an EHIC card and insurance (the Sun Holidays do offer insurance). Do not forget that you may not get your first choice of Sun holiday so try to find a variety of dates and places you would like to visit. Check out if there are ways to save money on attractions and eating out. We stayed at a nearby Sun Holiday park in France and then used AttractionTix to visit Disneyland Paris. Think about the size of your party and how old people are – over 12 year old are usually classed as an adult for European breaks – especially if you are flying. Also consider whether you want to pay the extra damage deposit up front at a small cost, or a fully-refundable (if no damage is done) once you are there.

I am in no way associated with The Sun Holidays. I previously received discounted tickets from AttractionTix to visit Disneyland Paris. Words are my own opinions.
