Office Christmas Party Review and Giveaway

Office Christmas Party – Spoilers

The new SEO of Zenotek, Carol (Jennifer Aniston), is a bit of a Grinch and turns up to make a few changes at the branch her laid-back brother Clay (TJ Miller) runs. First she cancels the politically correct seasonal office party, organised by farting PR lady Mary (Kate McKinnon), and then declares that there will be no bonuses and staff cuts unless her Clay seal a deal with big-shot client Walter Davis (Courtney B Vance) by the time she lands in Heathrow.

Clay will do what it takes to save the branch which was his late father’s and wants to make sure that his employees feel like family. Christmas is an important time of year where Clay has fond memories of his father dressing up as Father Christmas and handing out presents to all of his staff. As the meeting with Walter is so important he takes along with him employees Josh Parker (Jason Bateman) and Tracey Hughes (Olivia Munn) to try to clinch the deal. Tracey has been working on an idea about the internet being always accessible, but Walter is having none of it, saying he would rather go with Dell. Walter has heard rumours about Zenotek closing branches and making staff cuts in order to make money, and isn’t very happy about it. Clay, Josh and Tracey assure him this isn’t true and end up inviting them to the office party to show what a fun family set up they have there.

With the party back on it is up to the employees of Zenotek to party hard to save the company. Clay is keen to do his Father proud and save everyone’s jobs and bonuses with no expense spared to the party! This includes snow machines (that the HR director ends up dropping cocaine in), presents from Father Christmas (that Clay is certain are back massagers but actually are dildos!), and an ice-sculpture that newly divorced Josh gives deep throat to in order to drink a shot! Of course with booze a plenty there are plenty of shenanigans from the employees too including Nate (Karan Soni) hiring a prostitute, inappropriate holiday raps, photocopying of butts and genitalia on the 3D copier) and pretty much the whole of the marketing department stripping off (scenes of mild nudity) and (suggested) all having sex with each other! Not to mention hard-working Allison (Vanessa Bayer) having a lucky escape in the nursery when Fred (Randall Park) takes things a little too far!

Office Christmas Party Review

Office Christmas Party is full of laughs and a fantastic cast  – with plenty of names you will recognise from other successful films. It has a great seasonal feel to it but definitely one to watch for light entertainment rather than a deep storyline. It keeps it moving though and there are great stunt shots. Office Christmas Party is a Certificate 15, but personally I wouldn’t watch it with my 15 year old. It features outtakes and deleted/extended scenes too. Available now on digital download and 13th November 2017 on DVD and Blue-Ray (which has an exclusive extended version).

Office Christmas Party is out on DVD/Blu-ray 13th November
