Father’s Day Hamper #Giveaway CLOSED

Sunday 21^st June 2015 here in the UK is Father’s day. My husband is a pretty amazing father and so deserves spoiling as much as possible. To give you some more ideas of how to spoil your dad here are some additional present ideas. PLUS each one* is available to one lucky reader in my Father’s Day Giveaway!!!

The Father’s Day Hamper

I think hampers are such a great idea, especially when you put them together yourself. The Father’s Day hamper includes everything a dad could need to make him feel special throughout the day.

My youngest child will inevitably wake up really early, excited that it is his dad’s special day and want to spoil him. Therefore, the first item I have included is some Duerr’s Strawberry Jam (£1). This has 45g of fruit per 100g. I felt that this was a safe way for my 6 year old to spread on some croissants safely.

All by Mama have some beautiful gift ideas made by mums. I shall be taking another look for Teacher Gift ideas. I knew that the Zac & Lily Breakfast in bed kit (£10.00) would be just perfect to include in the hamper. Included is some very important Teapigs Tea temples – so that my 11 year old can be making his dad that all important morning cuppa. Whilst my 7 year old can follow the instructions to make American pancakes (add an egg and milk with the measuring cup, add the mix and whisk). Then whilst I fry the pancake there’s a breakfast tray mat for the youngest to colour in. They can then use the pancake shaper to the pancake and extra special touch.

I was sent the Vintage Soup Spoon, hand stamped “Souper Spoon” (£14). I also really liked the “Dad’s Tea” hand stamped Vintage Tea Spoon (£11). The spoons can be personalised so I will definitely look into ordering one for Christmas.

For lunch again the small children can help by preparing dad a sandwich using Duerr’s Peanut Butter (£1.99) with 92% roasted peanuts for a crunchy texture. It is gluten free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans**.

By dinner time the teen will be awake so we will be treating dad to a barbecue. The older children can cook or dad can do it himself (if that is what he enjoys). Jack Daniel’s Barbecue sauces (£1.99) have a whole range to compliment the food. Father’s Day Something to Wear and Keep

Father’s Day wouldn’t be the same without the token clothing gift. Whether it be socks, a tie or if you really want to make dad feel special then why not get him a new shirt. House of Fraser do a great range of shirts, cufflinks and ties. I opted for the Criminal Criminal Jimmy Short Sleeved Check Shirt (£40). As you would expect this is a good quality shirt and feels really soft. It has a real front pocket and perfect for both smart and casual events.

Or what about a watch? The Scruffs Sports inspired Digital Watch (£19.95) is water resistant and shock proof – so perfect for whatever dad wants to get up to with his day.  Functions include telling the time (who knew?), an alarm, a light and a stopwatch. In a funky orange colour.

 

Father’s Day Quality Family Time

What is lovely about Father’s Day is that we make it a time to stop. Dad doesn’t need to be tiling the bathroom, or fixing the dishwasher, it is just a day to relax. Why not keep him sat down with a family board game. University Games have a range of games guaranteed to make Father’s Day special whatever the weather. I opted for 5 Second Rule (RRP £19.99). A game of quick thinking and fast talking, for 3-6 players ages 8 and above. The object of the game is to answer the most questions by giving 3 answers before the ball twists down to the bottom of the 5 second timer. If players name all 3 they get to move forward a space on the board, with the winner being the one who reaches the finish first. With added PASS ON and SWITCH cards if a player does not want to answer and pass it on to another player. With the Danger Zone meaning they have to get three right or they miss their next turn.
