Travelling to France from the UK can make for an inexpensive holiday abroad. Sometimes it is cheaper to book things separately rather than go through a tour operator (such as the transport, hotel & attractions). You can chose to fly to France using a budget airline, use the Eurostar or save more money by driving to France yourself (utilising the Ferry or Eurotunnel). Of course when you arrive in France there are so many great places to visit, and if you plan before you go, you can get some great discounts on attraction tickets. Tickets brought through AttractionTix are much cheaper than the gate price whilst also having the added advantage of being UK based – so you don’t even need to be able to speak French to organise your visit.
Here are some of the most visited attractions in France with great discounts on offer:
Disneyland Paris – 37% Discount off the Gate Price
Having visited Disneyland Paris twice now we appreciate just how magical it is. Our youngest two children do not remember going though and so we were delighted to learn that there is a special offer of 37% off the gate price. This includes both parks, fast pass tickets AND there is also a great deal on eating at Planet Hollywood. If you have not been to Disneyland Paris then you are missing out on spectacular shows, character meets (and their autographs!), beautiful parades, stunning flowers and not forgetting the awesome rides! Your children will just love seeing the Disney magic come to life.
Montparnasse Tower
The equivalent of London’s Shard the Montparnasse Tower is the tallest building in France, allowing for panoramic views of Paris. With shorter queues than the Eiffel Tower, see Arc de Triomphe, Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel Tower itself. Pick from the relaxed view of the enclosed viewing gallery, or the open-air terrace at the very top of the tower. Montparnasse Tower opens early, or why not come in and watch the sunset in the evening – a truly romantic experience. For a limited time only there’s a special offer – the ticket covers access to the 360 Degree Cafe, photo galleries, film theatre, gift shop, interactive screens and viewing tables.
The Eiffel Tower
Personally I don’t think any trip to France (particularly Paris) would be complete without visiting The Eiffel Tower. It really does say romance to me. There are a number of packages that include a visit to The Eiffel Tower for both the day and night time (where you can see the Tower illuminated). There is also the option to see The Eiffel Tower, have dinner and finish the evening with The Moulin Rouge.
The Moulin Rouge
Why not see France’s most famous cabaret The Moulin Rouge, which celebrated its 125th birthday last October. Best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance, offering musical dance entertainment and romance. Enjoy the revolutionary architecture, festive champagne evenings, titillating costumes – there are a variety of options to see ‘Féerie’, (Fairy) at a discount price. This is the the latest show at the Moulin Rouge and it continues in the pure cabaret tradition, featuring the legendary Doriss Girls and 1000’s of sequins, rhinestones and feathers! Available daily at various start time. Tickets include champagne and chose which option you would like to include dinner (pick from the Belle Époque, Toulouse Lautrec or Mistinguett menu by renowned chef Dalloyau). Some tickets even include transport so that you can be picked up from a specified departure point in an air-conditioned coach, accompanied to the show by a helpful and friendly tour hostess, before ending a memorable evening in the vicinity of your Paris hotel. This is a great idea for a group of friends – when not have your Hen party here! Make sure you book in advance as there are only a limited number of shows every night and they sell out quickly.
The Louvre
The Louvre was originally built as a fortress and royal palace and is now home to priceless artworks from all over the World. Located in the heart of Paris take the tour around this famous museum to see Ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian artworks, masterpieces from the Middle Ages and Renaissance period, Islamic art, paintings, drawings, sculpture, exhibitions and more, available daily from 9:30am.
