With the countdown to Christmas well and truly on (only 50 days to go!) you will be pleased to hear that the Dream Toys 2014 List has been released. That is the top 72 toys that The Toy Retailers Association believes will be heading to the top of the Christmas lists this year. The Dream Toys list is the most accurate and predictive list available. With nearly half the list priced at £25 and under and the fact that I have been looking at Toys predicted to be big this Christmas since last January’s Toy Fair I thought I would take a look and share with you.
The Top 12 Toys Christmas 2014 (in price order)
Zoomer Dino-Boomer, Spin Master £99.99
Transformers Stomp & Chomp Grimlock, Hasbro £89.99
The Lego Movie _ Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP, LEGO £79.99. This is the first one on our list – in fact it has already been bought, wrapped and sent off to Father Christmas himself. I can see it being built on the floor in front of the television whilst watching The Lego Movie again on Christmas day.
My Friend Cayla, Vivid £58.99
Nerf Demolisher 2-in-1, Hasbro, £44.99
Kidizoom Smart Watch, Vtech, £39.99. These are my number 1 top recommended present for the 5-12s this Christmas. They are so useful as well as fun and the appeal to such an age range means that they will be a long lasting gift.
Toot-Toot Animals Safari Park, VTech £39.99
Disney Frozen Snow Glow Elsa, Jakks Pacific, £34.99. Frozen still continues to be a popular choice for children so it comes as no surprise that this has made it into the top 12 toys. I love that this comes with Olaf.
Bop It! Beats, Hasbro £21.99
Little Live Pets Bird Cage, Charater £19.99
Disney Frozen Sparkle Doll (assorted), Mattel £16.99
Minecraft Figures (assorted), Character £7.99. Again Minecraft continues to grow from strength to strength and it is nice that the price is under a tenner.
Other top toys I liked making it on the list are (in alphabetical order):
Chill Factor Ice-Cream Maker, Character £12.99
Disney Olaf the Snowman, Mattel £14.99
Doc Mc Stuffins Get Better Talking Mobile, Flair £59.99
Friends Heartlake Shopping Mall, LEGO £79.99 – again already with Father Christmas. This set kept me entertained for ages it has so much detail.
Ninja Turtles Movie Figures (assorted) Flair £9.99 (also see the Deluxe figures)
Play-Doh Cake Mountain, Hasbro £19.99
Xeno, Flair, £79.99 – another very popular choice this year.
Not on the list but I would add Skylanders Trap Team, Disney Infinity and BOOMCo Rapid Madness blaster.

Did someone say icecream maker? YES PLEASE!
An awesome selection, a few of those are on Emmy’s xmas list and the toot toot set is on Harry’s
That’s a fab list. I have no idea what we’re going to get the kids this year, but I will definitely come back to your list.
This is a brilliant list but I am always shocked at how expensive everything is x
Zoomer Dino-Boomer looks very interesting and I was actually already asked about him… hint, hint
Bop it Beats has appeared on our Christmas lists – it looks fab x
A great list – a shame my son is well grown out of toys now – although, he’d probably still love that Nerf gun!!!
We want Minecraft Lego here!
My 7 year old is suddenly REALLY into Minecraft so I’ll definitely look out for those figures for him.
Great list! I am off to check out the ice-cream maker.
My son would have been nuts about those dinosaurs a few years back. Now it’s all about Minecraft and I definitely agree, it’s nice to find something with a sane price.
what a fab list this going to be really useful
