The run up to Christmas is such a busy time for most people and I have previously written about how to make the build up to Christmas easy. One of the main problems I face is fitting in meals in between the end of school/work and the next activity we need to get to – whether that is an after school activity (or two), the Panto or going on a day trip. Sometimes even take-out just takes too long by the time you have waited for it, so what do you do when you want the family to have something more substantial than a sandwich? For us the answer is simple: Pizza! It is quick and easy to cook straight from the freezer, and can even be eaten later cold! We love Chicago Town Pizza and were excited to try the new The Pizza Kitchen range.
Family life is hectic at the best of times, never mind Christmas: Sometimes we even have another meal planned but something will happen to change things (like when the clutch went in my husband’s car this week and he had to wait for the breakdown people to tow him home). This meant that there just wasn’t the time to cook what we had planned – but we had the Chicago Town The Pizza Kitchen Range just ready in the freezer! They were ready in just 12 minutes in our fan oven, and I had time to check their school bags and do the washing up in that time. They only had 5 minutes to wolf them down before needing to go out to their Christmas party at Youth Club – but honestly this wasn’t a problem! The main problem when I don’t have time is I just serve each pizza on its own in the middle of the table for everyone to help themselves, and if you are not quick it is gone!
Chicago Town The Pizza Kitchen
The Pizza Kitchen from Chicago Town is a new range which has been available nationwide since September. What I really love is that the whole family enjoy the generous deli-style toppings and not a crumb is left thanks to the crisp crusts which taste like Tiger bread!
The range consists of four new flavours, Cheese Medley (with signature tomato sauce and mouth-watering chunks of Emmental Cheese, grated mozzarella and red cheddar cheese onto an irresistible Deli crisp crust), Deli Pepperoni (with large and mini slices of pepperoni and mozzarella cheese) Roasted Chicken (pulled roast chicken, juicy peppers, red onion and mozzarella) and Garden Vegetables – so there is something for a variety of palettes.
Family Verdict of Chicago Town The Pizza Kitchen
There were smiles all round and not a crumb left on the plates for I think that Chicago Town’s The Pizza Kitchen was definitely a hit and something that will make a regular appearance in our home. Great for both emergency meal and a fun family meal – maybe cosied in front of the television (let’s face it there’s going to be plenty of that in the coming days!).
Have you tried Chicago Town’s The Pizza Kitchen? Which is (or sounds like) your favourite flavour?
This is a commissioned post. Words and opinions are honest and my own.
I haven’t tried Chicago Town, but we do eat an awful lot of pizza in our house because we’re always rushing! On particularly busy days we don’t even have time for pizza as there’s the time for the oven to warm up, plus cooking time!
I have to admit that I am partial to thin crust pizza. But there is always a good time for deep dish too!
