The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van #Review

The Ugglys Pet Shop

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash VanCharacter Options bring to you the most socially challenged, grossest pets ever to grace a toy shelf. The Ugglys Pet shop brings together a combination of gross, sticky and devilishly disgusting with collectables. They are presented in pet food cans with 2 pets, and 8 figure blister packs a collection of 101 gross animal figures. In each there are 2 surprise pets – an element of excitement that children love as they open them. Groups representing their unfortunate personal challenges including cats, turtles, parrots, dogs and other species. Then there’s the rare “Stickies” which, as the names suggests, have a sticky coating. With the ultimate limited edition “Rusty Pets” with tarnished metallic finishes. They have Gross Homes too. Each habitat comes complete with sound effects and can be stacked together to combine the symphony of groans, burps and other disgusting sounds.

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash VanThe Ugglys Dirty Dog Wash sounds like a pamper parlour for poochies, but it is actually rather disgusting! Dogs may go in ugly but they come out uglier! With over 30 gross sound effects and a whole host of revolting features it is the place where the dogs can get down and dirty. Complete with an exclusive Slobby Saint Bernard.

First Impressions of The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash VanImmediately from the design of the box you can see it is clearly going to be a toy that appeals to children. I liked the fact that the wash van is predominantly white contrasted with orange and green – as it made it bright and appealing without losing the gross factor. I feel that the toy looks gender neutral. Children can play with the sounds whilst it is still in the packaging – so they can get a feel if it is really for them. The sounds will be attractive to children, but yet are not too bad that they will offend parents (well unless they are opposed to farts and burps). There is a toilet and bath which each have different sounds every time they are pressed (which is when the dog sits on/in them). It also makes even more gross sounds as it is pushed along.

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash VanThere’s great attention to detail such as the bones on the tyres, cracks on the windscreen, a “DOGONE” number plate, spiders on the scales and a fully turnable steering wheel. The roof flips open to play inside, but can be closed to keep the Ugglys in whilst being transported.

Conclusion of The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van

The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash VanI think that The Ugglys Pets are a really great concept as children are more and more wanting to collect things, and have the element of surprise. My boys especially loved The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van as it gave them the opportunity to explore their gross side. I liked how it encourages small world play, sparking their imaginations, and is also great for fine motor development. The packing was fairly easy to open in such that no screwdriver was require. The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van gives somewhere to store the Ugglys Pets but I do wish that the windows had “glass” (obviously plastic) so that they did not fall out during storage or transporting to Granny’s house. At £19.99 I think that The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van offers good value for money. Aimed at those aged 5+.

I received The Ugglys Pet Shop Dirty Dog Wash Van and 2 cans of Pets for purposes of review. No other financial compensation has been given. All words and opinions are my own.
