Sainsbury’s Toy Sale 2022 – What to Expect

So I headed down to the Sainsbury’s Toy Sale first thing this morning and thought I’d share with you what I found. Note that this is in store only and that I am in the UK.

Sainsbury's Toy Sale 2022

Firstly the toy sale – or the Sainsbury’s Toy Event as they refer to it as – wasn’t hugely publicised. In fact I headed there unsure whether it was actually on! There’s a banner outside of the car park however, and a board before going in – which was reassuring. The cashier said that the dates had been moved – which is why when you make a purchase you get a voucher for £4.50 off when you spend £30. These, obviously, can also be used on the toys (some other exceptions apply but not to the toys).

Up to 50% off Sainsbury’s Toy Sale

First note that it’s up to 50% in the Sainsbury’s toy sale; and not all items will have that much off. Make sure you have some sort of idea of what you want and how much they cost elsewhere. However, you can take things back if you keep your receipt!

Not all toys are on sale in the Sainsbury’s Toy event sadly. This includes the much wanted Surprise Mini Brands Capsule Real Miniature Brands Assortment by Zuru for my young niece!

What Can you Find in the Sainsbury’s Toy Sale 2022

This morning I filmed my local branch and stuck my rough and ready video on TikTok so that people could see what was to offer as soon as possible. I was able to enter the store before 9am and there was already people coming out with trollies full of toys. Apparently it would have ramped up by 11am too – so be aware that these items may have already sold out.

LEGO

Yes there was LEGO on offer!! To be honest I was not only impressed with the variety on sale this year but also the discounts on some of it. Most notably was the LEGO Star Wars – Death Star Trash Compactor down to £50 from £80!
