A dream holiday for a lot of us in visiting Disney World. Whether it’s a dream destination for your kids or you’re a massive Disney fan (Like myself!). I do my best to try to visit once a year. It’s definitely not always been an easy task but today I have some great money-saving hacks for planning your dream trip.
Use Airline Rewards to Save Money on Your Trip to Disney World
My first hack is that if the airline you are flying with offers a rewards program, be sure to join up to it. These are usually free and you can use your air miles on future flights.
Save Money on Your Disney World Park Tickets by Buying in Advance
Buying your Disney Park tickets whilst you’re still in the UK can save you a lot of money. Check out deals online before your visit for some amazing deals. We were able to purchase a 7 day, 14 day or even 21 day ticket and these options aren’t available to guests visiting from America! For example, you can get a 21 day ticket from Florida Escapes for £300, but this will work out under £16 per day to visit all 4 Disney theme parks, the two Disney water parks and use of Disney’s miniature golf courses.
Visit Disney World on a Budget by Staying in Off Site Hotels
Staying off site can definitely save your some money. If you are looking to save money whilst staying off site then check out hotels.com. Not only do they have a best price guarantee, for every 10 nights you stay somewhere, you will get one night free.
Budget for Disney World by Planning your Spending Money in Advance
Knowing how much spending money to take to Florida can be hard to gauge at first. Disney World can be expensive and, alongside any travel expenses you’ll need to be paying for, I’d recommend having a budget set aside – planning how you’ll be spending days plus where you’ll be going for food and drink in advance to save you money.
Save Money on Your Trip to Disney World with a Currency Card
You can get a currency card which can be topped up as you go along. This means that you won’t change too much money and be left with leftover dollars that are expensive to convert back.
How to Get Free Food and Drinks at Disney Springs
You can Get free sodas at A World of Coke at Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) and the Cool Club in Epcot. Here you can try Coke products from around the world, completely free! Pretty sweet, right?
Have a Celebration whilst at Disney World!
Make sure you plan your trip around a particular celebration if you can! If you do, you can get a free badge! Me and Tony got “Just Engaged” badges on one of visits and the effect of these was absolutely amazing. We were congratulated everywhere we went and also managed to some freebies along the way making our trip that extra bit magical. You can get badges for pretty much anything, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements etc. The birthday badge is likely to get you some free cupcakes at restaurants!
Hope these hacks help you save some pennies and bring your closer to that dream holiday in Orlando!
