As part of our letter learning journey the letter P covered so many things so we covered quiet a bit as we packed and moved house.
P covers Pinterest and this is where I found this delightful idea of a Paint Pirate handprint originally from Fun Hand Print Art
We painted it all on our hand and then tried to print it on the paper.
However, I suggest you just paint the basic colours of red, beige and black and add the face, stripes, eyes, mouth and patch afterwards.
Messy garden craft is always popular, I love the way these hand prints turn into a pirate. So much more relaxing to be able to do it all in the garden too!
Aw, how fun! Thanks for sharing!
I love how drawing on yourself is so much more fun than drawing on paper etc
That is so cool, and really effective!
Popping over from Country Kids
(Apologies for this shameless promotion here – although actually I am a little ashamed! – but I’ve got a pirate activity linky going on at the moment, would you like to link up to it please? http://www.theboyandme.co.uk/2012/08/07/how-to-make-a-pirate-spyglass/)
harharrrrr we love pirates and I really wanted to do this one (we did a penguin instead). Maybe we can do it “in the future”. Thanks for the tips!
