Some days are dark and you cannot find your way.
Sometimes you wish that someone would shine a flash light and just give you a helping hand.
When the help does not appear and you think what is the point, lying in the dark hoping that death will come.
But even death is not your friend and you lie in the dark tunnel feeling nothing but despair.
What is the point you are going no where.
Then from somewhere a quick flash of light appears.
It’s a thought inside your brain.
And slowly you realise that lying here, doing nothing is achieving nothing.
That the only way out is to help yourself.
It is hard work, especially at first, but you pull yourself along.
The darkness feels like it goes on forever but you know you must keep trying.
What if you are so close to the light.
Eventually you will get there, and feel the warmth of the sun.
The happiness that is the light at the end of the tunnel.
