Tonight we visited Elmbury Lodge, part of the Brewers Fayre group, for the Easter Disco. It was a great opportunity to relax as we come to the end of a very busy Easter holidays, and let someone else take care of entertaining the children. Not only was there a fantastic disco but it was good to see that they had carried on the Easter Crafts, as well as the opportunity to eat out.
Brewers Fayre have Easter Cracked
Over the Easter holidays (dates vary) participating* Brewers Fayres claim that they have Easter Cracked – by offering FREE activity mornings every weekday between 10:30am-12pm. With a FREE Limited Edition Beano comic, FREE Beano Balloon and a chance to try the brand new Tropical Starslush flavour!
The FREE activities include crafts, drawing competitions and face painting. My children enjoyed making Easter cards and bunny ears hats, at Elmbury Lodge. All the materials were provided and there was an attentive member of staff to help them. They were also able to let their imaginations run wild with their own freestyle pictures. It was lovely to see some of the children making cards for Dave (the General Manager) as they are obviously are very fond of him. I firmly believe this is a reflection on the lengths he goes to make it a very family friendly place, and is really in touch with the children.
Easter Disco at Brewers Fayre’s Elmbury Lodge
The Easter Disco at Brewers Fayre’s Elmbury Lodge was a great hit with the children as they danced with Dave and his staff trying to win the Easter Egg for best dancer. This was mixed in with games such as musical statues. What my husband and I really liked here was that no-one was out, there were no losers it was just for fun, and everyone won packets of Haribos (which were in plentiful supply much to the delight of the children). There was also an Easter Bonnet competition and balloons for all.
Whilst the children were entertained it was a great opportunity to try some of the new items on the menu – such as the new Chilli Cheese Dog Spicy chilli with melted cheese, jalapenos and a drizzle of tomato sauce – this is definitely a hot dog (my 11 year old can vouch for that!!). Served with chips and crunchy coleslaw. Also the children ate their dinners quickly as they were keen to get back to the dancing – which my boys were lucky enough to win the Chocolate Egg for and they all had a fantastic time.
We would like to thank Dave and his staff for the fantastic job that they do and cannot wait for the Halloween Disco. There was also a raffle, and guess the number, etc in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
* Participating Brewers Fayres are those with a Playzone or Fun Factory – please check for your nearest one.
I was given £25 off towards my meal but we were going to go anyway as we think it is a smashing event. All words and opinions are my own.
That looks like a lot of fun – just the sort of thing my son would enjoy too.
Looks like such a fun event. I’ll have to look to see where my nearest Brewers Fayre is for the Halloween disco, it sounds fab x
WOW that looked like it was a lot of fun I will have to look out for events near us.
It looks like a fun outing for all the family, I always find the Brewers Fayre pubs to be great value too. Such a brilliant charity to be a part of too.
This looks like such fun – and I have to say my son would love the Beano stuff especially!!
What a great sounding place to visit – I love the fact they seem to entertain as well as feed. x
OOh that hot dog is looking pretty tasty to me x
That looks fab – When my two were younger, I used to love things like this that would keep them entertained while we waited for our food x x
Elmbury Lodge sounds like a lovely place to visit, especially with children. Other family restaurants could learn a lot!
