LEGO DIMENSIONS™ Wave 6

LEGO® Dimensions™ Wave 6 is here and it has got even bigger and better with the New Expansion Packs Based on the blockbuster franchises Ghostbusters™, Adventure Time™, Mission Impossible™, Harry Potter™ and The A-Team™!

LEGO Dimensions Ghostbusters™ Story Pack
The Ghostbusters™ Story Pack provides a complete movie-based gameplay experience with fresh LEGO® brick building. Abby Yates provides access to a new Ghostbusters™ Adventure plus the set includes the Zhu’s Chinese Restaurant gateway as a new portal for the the LEGO® Toy Pad.

I loved how my son was reminded of the film helping Abby Yates and her team of Ghostbusters™ save the world from the mysterious and evil ghost, Rowen, across six action-packed levels of gameplay. He loved equipping Abby with her Proton Blaster to activate her Charge Transfer ability to move electricity between conduits, and use her Intelligence Access ability for puzzle-solving. It gave him the excitement all over again; knowing where he was in the game and how close he was to completing it. This was a great addition to his previous “boy” Ghostbusters™ sets as he calls them.

LEGO® Minifigures included in the latest expansion packs come with special, golden Toy Tags which unlock newly introduced Battle Arenas within the free play in the Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand. The competitive split-screen local gameplay is for up to four players, which means that all my sons can play together in one of the four exciting Battle Arena gameplay modes (Capture the Flag, Objective, Base Bash, and Tick, Tag, Boom!). Every Battle Arena is unique with its own traps, defences, and special powers. The battles can also be played competitively or cooperatively in multiple player configurations including 2 vs. 2, 3 vs 1, and individually against the system AI to create fun for the whole family.

The A-Team™ Fun Pack
What a great way to introduce my son to B.A. Baracus and his van – which can also be rebuilt as the Fool Smasher and the Pain Plane. Not only can B.A. Baracus be used to smash through the LEGO® multiverse but he provides access to The A-Team™ Adventure World with its own unique Battle Arena. Players can add the mohawk-sporting mechanical genius to their mash-up adventure and use his Super Strength and Fix-It abilities, or activate his special A-Team Master Build and Laser Redirect skills for those harder-to-solve puzzles.

The Mission Impossible™ Level Pack
Having previously been on a Spy adventure ourselves the Mission Impossible™ Level Pack was opened with much excitement. Secret Agent Ethan Hunt provides access to a Mission Impossible™ Adventure World with its own unique Battle Arena. In this level pack Ethan has been framed for the theft of highly classified materials from IMF and needed help to find the true villain. To play the American Embassy, CIA Headquarters must be infiltrated in this thrilling game level. Using Ethan’s Camera Spectacles for the perfect disguise and wearing the Magno Gloves to sneak up walls. For a quick escape, players can hop onto the IMF Scrambler or IMF Sport Car, and then rebuild the 3-in-1 vehicles into the ShockCycle and IMF Covert Jet, and the IMF Tank and The IMF-Splorer to access a host of new super-spy abilities.

Adventure Time™ Level and Team Packs
Based on Cartoon Network’s animated series there is both an Adventure Time™ Level and Team Packs. Land of Ooo fas with love unlocking the Adventure Time™ Adventure World and challenging their friends in the Pillow World Battle Arena. With the Adventure Time™ Battle Arena offers extra-awesome abilities like Slurp Access, Grapple Swing and Shape Shift.

The Level Pack Finn the Human is on a mission to find the Enchidrion and prove to Princess Bubblegum that he’s a hero. Using one of Finn’s many special swords to cut vines, grapple, and even deflect lasers, battling foes and travelling through the Forest of Mount Cragdor, the Dark Magician’s Brain World. Complete with a 3-in-1 buildable Jakemobile (this can be rebuilt into Snail Dude Jake and Hover Jake.) and a 3-in-1 buildable Ancient War Elephant (this can be rebuilt into the Cosmic Squid and Psychic Submarine) to blast through enemies and tackle trickier puzzles.

With the Adventure Time™ Team Pack there is Lumpy Space Princess, Jake the Dog, BMO (which can be rebuilt into DOGMO and SNAKEMO) and Lumpy Car (which can be rebuilt as Lumpy Truck and Lumpy Land Whale).

Harry Potter™ Team Pack
We love Harry Potter™ especially after we did the Studio Tour and then watched all the films back to back so my son just loved bringing the wizarding world to life in LEGO® Dimensions™ with the Harry Potter™ Team Pack. The pack unlocks the Harry Potter™ Adventure World and brings the fight between good and evil into the Battle Arena. Harry can cast magical spells such as Wingardium Leviosa, Stupefy, and Expelliarmus to solve puzzles and fight off Death Eaters. Alternatively for Dark magic then Lord Voldemort™ can be used instead. To travel across the Adventure World use the Hogwarts Express or Enchanted Car, and then rebuild the 3-in-1 vehicles into the Steam Warrior and Soaring Steam Plane, and the Shark Sub and Monstrous Mouth for special attacks and super weapons.

Future LEGO® Dimensions™ Expansion Packs
LEGO® Dimensions™ Expansion Packs Based on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack, Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, Gremlins Team Pack, and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Adventure Time Fun Packs will be available on 18th November.

The LEGO Batman Movie and Knight Rider Announced for February 2017 Release.
Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Dimensions is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the Wii U system.

I received Wave 6 Lego Dimension™ Packs because the PR Team are awesome and I have an extremely happy 7 year old boy with additional needs who has proudly told anyone who will listen to him all about them!
