Places to Eat out with Kids this Summer

Places to Eat out with Kids this Summer

The Summer Holidays can be so busy that sometimes I find it really hard to fit everything in. One thing that helps with this is someone else cooking for us – aka eating out. What is even better is when eating out also entertains the children – thus killing two birds with one stone. Here are some places to eat out this Summer:

Beefeater

Every week at Beefeater there is a new Mr Men or Little Miss Toy to collect FREE with every kids 2 or 3 course meal – with a total of 6 to collect. These go well with the refreshed Mr Men menus and activity packs. If you fancy going to Beefeater for breakfast instead then 2 under 16s can eat for free when a full adult breakfast is purchased.

We visited* The Cross Hands Cheltenham and found it to be great for kids. There was no waiting to be seated, the children were immediately given their Mr Men activity packs, there were no sharp knives by their places and food came quickly. The boys were delighted to be treated to 3 courses as it was only £5.99 each (with 20p of that going to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity). There was a great choice for them to pick from and they were able to swap their sides (even to the point that my one son swapped his veg for more chips!!). The boys each received a free Mr Tickle with their meals (although I did have to ask). These were just simple plastic models and rather difficult to stand up – but the boys were happy. Food was well cooked and the staff very attentive.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co are child friendly with the kids meals served in a little boat. Not only do they offer seafood on their kid’s menu but there are other options too (and all include French fries, fruit and a special treat). Not to mention the free kids activity book and crayons. Children will just love their build your own Sundae (just £3.50).

We visited** Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in London and found that there was something for everyone in our family on their menu. I feel that the touches made to make it child friendly meant that I got to enjoy seafoods not otherwise found at other restaurants. All kids menu include French fries, fruit and a special treat. The Rainforest Cafe

If you are in London I really recommend you visit The Rainforest Cafe. We were unaware but with our Merlin Annual Pass we could have got 20% off food. The food is reasonably priced and the experience amazing. I have to say that my dinner was of such a superb quality and it was nice to see that it was not just gimmicky. Our problem was that we enjoyed the drinks soooo much we may have spent a tad too much on them too. We bought the children activity packs and these were great value for money as they included a wallet, amongst many other things. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a service charge added to the bill.

* I was sent a £50 voucher towards the cost of the meal in order to review it. ** We were invited to Bubba Shrimp Co London in order to review their menu. I was not paid to review The Rainforest Cafe. All words and opinions are my own. No other financial incentive has been given.

  1. We often visit Beefeaters when we are away for the day, they cater really well for families and of course serve chips for Tigger.
