I will add each of the Sun Codewords starting at the release date of Saturday, January 8. 2022. Although the Sun Holidays refer to them as Sun Codewords the last one is often a mixture of letters and numbers. They have always been 4 characters long.

About Sun Holidays 2022: Why you want these FREE Sun Codewords
The Sun Holidays are run by The Sun Newspaper. They offer bargain breaks from £9.50 per person based on a minimum of four people sharing. With more than 180 holiday parks across the UK and Europe to choose from. The FREE codewords above will mean that you do not need to buy the Sun newspaper and can enter them online when you have all 10. You can get a holiday as cheap as £41!
The following details are correct to the best of my knowledge. Please check the Sun Holidays website for confirmation. I am not affiliated with the Sun Holidays and take no legal responsibility for the accuracy.
How to Book Your Sun Holiday
First decide on how you are going to collect for your Sun Holiday. There are the Sun Codes (see above), or alternatively you can collect tokens or Sun Savers Codes.
Sun Codewords
The Sun Codewords are available from Saturday, January 8 to Tuesday, February 1. These are four letter words which I will add as soon as they are available (see above). Check the comments of this post as if readers find them before me they also share. Then book online at thesun.co.uk/holidays.
It will ask for the 10 Sun Codewords. Enter them in each box. Enter you e-mail address and marketing preferences and again hit the BOOK NOW button. Then it will ask you for your party size. The maximum party size is 8 – but you can book more than one accommodation. Note some places are known to not accommodate certain party sizes. For example. historically Butlins you are more likely to get them if you are just a party of 4. Note Butlins are not taking part in the promotion at this time.
You need to select 4 Sun Holiday dates and 4 Sun Holiday Parks. Think about when and where before they go live as they can go quickly. The parks are listed https://club950.co.uk/parks
Don’t worry if you do not want them, you can just eliminate them from the Sun Holiday search results. Keep playing with the dates and parks until you end up with something you want. The results will show you any matches, and any different dates for your parks or parks for your dates.
Monday-Friday breaks in term time are easier to get and give you extra time. Plus, look out for NO EXTRAS TO PAY deals or FREE entertainment passes at selected parks. My advice is if Pontins is still on the table don’t touch it with someone else’s! I have omitted the Pontins dates.
Alternatively you can search by area. Previously you could also filter this down to no extras (so you only pay £9.50 per person) and dog friendly only sites. No extras automatically disables quite a few of the dates however. I am not sure if this is the case though as this year is different. There are different bands and prices dependent on the dates and parks. Some parks have different prices depending on the date. But there is no longer an additional service or supplement costs. Entertainment passes it appears is the only thing that can be added/removed. Also of course are food, bedding? and your travel costs.
Instead of Sun Holiday Codewords you can use Sun Holiday Tokens
Alternatively you can also collect TEN of the tokens printed in The Sun each day. Cut these out and send them back with the booking form – found in paper on Saturday, January 8 – or online.
Or finally Sun Savers instead of Sun Codewords
The final option is by using Sun Savers. To do this download the Sun Savers app or register at sunsavers.co.uk. Then go to the ‘Offers’ section of Sun Savers and click ‘Start Collecting’ on the ‘Hols from £9.50’ page. Collect and enter TEN Sun Savers codes from those printed at the bottom of the Sun Savers paper page each day.
The £9.50 and £15 price per person is based on four sharing. Subject to availability. Terms and conditions and date restrictions apply. For full T&Cs see the website.

Sun Holidays Coronavirus Guarantee
There is the security of a Covid money-back guarantee! This means that you can book your Sun Holiday safe in the knowledge that if travel restrictions are in place you will have the option to move your holiday to a future date or opt for a refund.
“If your holiday park must close, or you cannot travel to your holiday park, due to government guidelines, you will be offered the opportunity to change dates at no extra charge (unless you choose a more expensive holiday/date), offered a full credit against a future holiday booking or your payment refunded. Cancellation may also be permitted on the same terms in the event of medically certified self-isolation of one or more of your holiday party. All other terms relating to changing or cancelling your booking apply. This guarantee applies to your holiday accommodation payment only and does not cover any transport or other extras.”
Sun Holiday Price Guarantee
The price of the Sun Holiday (inclusive of all charges), will be the best price available for the same holiday at your chosen holiday park and holiday date in the same accommodation type. If you find it cheaper, and advise The Sun Holidays within 28 days of making a holiday application, will be refunded the difference plus £10.
Sun Holidays Insurance
Sun Holidays also offer insurance by Breakfree Holidays Ltd as an Appointed Representative of Global Travel Insurance Services Ltd. The insurance is underwritten by ERGO Travel Insurance Services Limited (ETI) on behalf of Great Lakes Insurance SE (GLISE). For just £10 it covers your entire party on a UK holiday and £29.50 for a holiday in Europe.
The summary of benefits for UK Trips per person includes:
- Personal Accident: Up to £5,000, Excess Nil
- Accommodation & Repatriation Expenses: Up to £2,000, Excess Nil
- Hospital Benefit: Up to £300 (£15 per day), Excess Nil
- Baggage & Personal Money: Up to £1,000, Excess £15
